Osteria Formica
A tiny restaurant, in the heart of a small sicilian island, Favignana.
Founders – Taka and Federica created a place where you can enjoy seafood cuisine, that unites two traditions – Japanese and Sicilian.
Formica takes its name from a small island in the Egadi Islands archipelago historically known for its tuna fishery, where Federica's grandfather worked as a rais (chief).
In a cosy atmosphere you can enjoy organic wines from small manufactures and amazing dishes, created from the local products, exquisite and simple at the same time – all born out of passion for the sea.
We were lucky to explore the island with Formica team, soaking up the flavors, the aromas of herbs and the blueness of the sea.
